The O.P.R 84 come all tweaked up in the standard model! I use polystyrene input capacitors and high end German 'Wima' polypropylene capacitors at critical signal path locations, just as you would find in a German classic!
With the OPR84, as with all OPR mics, I aim to deliver a mic with a sound that punches well above its weight, unheard of at its price point and beyond!
The OPR 84 comes with shock mounts, stereo bar, omni and cardiod capsules, all in a wooden box.

The O.P.R 84 ULTRALUX is a true 1:1 replica of the classic Neumann KM84 small diaphragm condenser microphone. The circuit is hand built point to point on acrylic which has extremely high electrical insulation properties for the ultimate in sound quality. The capsule is heavily modified and retuned to get as close to the original original as possible. The O.P.R 84 Ultralux uses premium grade capacitors and resistors and a new old stock 'Wima' polycarbonate capacitor for the input coupling stage just as you would find in the original! The O.P.R transformer adds the same full bodied warmth and low end punch as well as as well as shimmering highs that you would hear in the original, resulting in that larger that life sound that the KM84 is known for!
